Our Leadership Team

Erin

Clinical Director

Erin Denham, M.S. CCC-SLP, is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and the Clinical Director at OTA. She joined the organization in 2001 after earning both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Northeastern University. Erin was among the first three graduates of Northeastern’s pioneering accelerated program, completing her studies in just five years. With more than two decades of experience, Erin has a strong background in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of communication disorders in children. She began her career in the public school system, where she spent five years gaining extensive knowledge of the IEP process. Throughout her career, Erin has worked with children with autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, receptive language disorders, expressive language disorders, mixed receptive-expressive language disorders, social communication disorders, and language-based learning disabilities. She is passionate about helping children strengthen their communication skills and believes that fostering these abilities provides a foundation for greater confidence, learning, and meaningful connection.

Alyssa

Assistant Director for Speech & Feeding Programs

Alyssa MacCarthy, M.S. CCC-SLP, is the Assistant Clinical Director of Speech-Language and Feeding services and has been with OTA since 2007. After earning a degree in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross, Alyssa worked with young children with autism for two years, providing home-based Floortime and ABA therapy. Finding a passion in helping children to communicate, she attended the graduate program in Communication Sciences & Disorders at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Alyssa started her career as an SLP within the Early Intervention system before working at Spaulding Rehab Hospital’s pediatric inpatient unit, where she gained experience in cognitive communication disorders and infant feeding difficulties. Alyssa now has over 25 years of experience working with children of all ages with diverse needs. She holds particular interest in early speech and language development, early literacy development as well as children with feeding and swallowing impairments including picky eaters. She is trained in the S.O.S. approach for feeding difficulties and focuses on both the individual child as well as family-centered care to help children meet their goals.

Jamie

Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy Programs

Jamie Morgan M.S. OTR/L, Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy, joined the OTA team in 2008. She graduated from the Boston School of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University in 2008. Jamie works in both the Wakefield and Bedford locations. Jamie has experience evaluating and treating children with a variety of diagnoses who have difficulties with sensory processing, self-regulation, motor planning/praxis, bilateral coordination, fine motor skills, ocular motor/visual perceptual skills, feeding, executive functioning, and activities of daily living. She is certified and trained in the Therapeutic Listening Program and the Astronaut Training Protocol. She also has experience with the Wilbarger Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique (DPPT), Learning (Handwriting) Without Tears, Alert Program, The Zones of Regulation, and The Social Thinking Curriculum. Jamie loves the collaborative approach of working with children and families in the outpatient setting. She especially loves those moments of excitement and joy when a child gains a skill or has success in an activity that they have been working so hard to achieve!!

Liz

Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy Programs & OT Feeding Program Manager

Elizabeth Tontini-L’heureux, MS, OTR/L is an Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy at the Wakefield clinic. She joined the OTA team in 2013. Liz graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in 2007. Since graduating, she has worked in the area of sensory integration in the outpatient clinic setting and school systems. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, and a variety of delays in visual motor/perceptual skills, fine motor skills, and picky eaters. Elizabeth is a certified provider for The Therapeutic Listening Program and a Handwriting Specialist formally trained in the Learning (Handwriting) Without Tears Program. She is part of the Feeding Team at OTA and focuses on oral motor and sensory facets to help children increase their food choices by using the SOS Approach to Feeding. She also has experience using the Alert Program, Zones of Regulation, the Wilbarger Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique (DPPT), and visual-vestibular intervention techniques. Elizabeth believes that working closely with the child, their families, and different disciplines to provide individualized treatments are essential for a child to grow and prosper.

Talia

Senior Occupational Therapist

Talia Miller, M.O.T., OTR/L is a Senior Occupational Therapist and Lead Mentor in both our Wakefield and Bedford Locations. She joined the OTA team in 2018. She received her Bachelors of Health Science from Quinnipiac University in 2016, and then graduated with her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2018. Talia has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and ADHD. Additionally, her clinical experience includes working with children who have difficulties with self-regulation, fine motor skills, executive functioning, feeding, motor planning, and activities of daily living. She has experience with the Zones of Regulation, the Alert Program, The Social Thinking Curriculum, Learning (Handwriting) Without Tears, and the Wilbarger Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique (DPPT). She is certified and trained in the Therapeutic Listening Program. Talia enjoys working with children and their families to assist in the development and achievement of functional skills for participation in their daily lives.
